Whilst the Romans were doing battle with the Highland Wildcats, defensive lineman Adam Yates was taking on the BUPA Great Manchester Run along with his brother Dan

At the outset Adam had said that if they raised over £1,000 by the day of the run, he would run in Romans kit, this benchmark was passed with a few days to go and true to his word Adam took to the streets in kit, to be possibly the first American Footballet to complete the 10k event

Adam and Dan completed the course in 71 minutes and 46 seconds, which is only 2 minutes slower than last year's run and that was without the added weight of kit, proof that this season's training regime is playing dividends.
