The Romans Return

The Romans return in a big way on the 5th January, following the Festive break.

After a wildly successful recruitment tour in November and December, all Romans teams will resume training for their respective 2020 campaigns THIS Sunday.

The Youth, Junior and Adult teams will begin preseason training at The Cheshire County Sports Club from 10am, whilst the Flintshire Romans resume their strong start to life at Queensferry CP at 9am.

All teams are still accepting prospective players, coaches and off-field staff so it’s not too late to get involved.

“I think there’s a huge buzz around the entire programme this year,” Media Officer, Nathan James Sharrocks, said. “The youth and junior academy took a huge step forward under our excellent staff in 2019 and will be looking to compete hard again this year after an excellent recruitment period for us. The adult team consolidated our position in Division One in 2019 after promotion the year before, so this year is huge for us and, with some exciting coach and player recruitment in the off-season, there’s a potential there to do well this year. Meanwhile the Flintshire Romans cadet team are going from strength to strength and we can’t wait to see them compete and continue to grow.”
